COURSES

There are two levels of training courses - FUNDAMENTALS and ADVANCED. Each course takes approximately five hours to complete, exclusive of breaks.

Courses can be delivered in person or via Zoom. Production companies can arrange a training session for their teams on a convenient date either at their offices, via video conference, or a hybrid combination of the two. Individuals can sign up to an online course on one of the advertised dates below - these are delivered via Zoom.

Class size is always capped to ensure that attendees receive individualised attention, and the courses are open to all production management grades.

FUNDAMENTALS

The FUNDAMENTALS course outlines the building blocks to Excel, providing a comprehensive overview of how the software can be applied to production tasks, and demonstrating key skills for customising trackers & schedules.

Course material includes cell formats & categories, DATE & TIME calculations, COUNT & SUM family formulas, TEXT functions, conditional formatting, and data validation.

ADVANCED

For those confident with the FUNDAMENTALS material and keen to expand their skills further, the ADVANCED course covers more technical functions and how to build formula complexity. It focuses on production financial & scheduling tasks, as well as managing large datasets like travel grids and unit lists.

Covering $ locking, IF functions & their uses, formula nesting, information retrieval via INDEX/MATCH, and more advanced applications of FUNDAMENTALS skills, this course will unlock greater possibilities within Excel.

Participants must have completed a FUNDAMENTALS course
prior to enrolling in the ADVANCED level training.

This is a great opportunity for a team starting on a new production, or as an up-skilling initiative for staffers. Whilst most impactful as an in-person course, these trainings have also worked successfully with some participants joining via Zoom link.

For production companies based outside of London, in-person courses can be arranged if train travel is covered.

Meeting room with monitor required. Participants should
bring laptops.
